Fixing stuff around you!
Sometimes, you do not feel the urge to make a change to something that can potentially add value; however, once done, leaves you with a sense of achievement and a moment of celebration!
Few years from now, my siblings posed an idea of getting a treadmill. Though, my parents didn’t had any reservations, but they emphasized the importance of its maintenance. However, our excitement for this machine didn’t bother to take that into consideration for the time being.
Eventually, the machine came, it was thoroughly used and finally the point came, when it was abandoned owing to some technical issues.
Now, I took it upon myself to check this machine — which, as apparently, is resting in the store room with some luggage on top. Therefore, I took-off the luggage, cleaned the machine, found an electrical extension and plugged the wire to see if it works.
Contrary to my expectation, it gave an impulse of life. I was enticed to see that its electronic system was showing some glimpse of hope. There is a saying that the electronic systems of such machines are quite strenuous/expensive to repair; however, fortunately, it was working fine.
Although, it was always in my subconscious mind to take some necessary actions, but this project acted as a catalyst to give it the attention it needs.
Coincidentally, leadership is not limited to only precious achievements. It comprises of all the small acts in your regular life that brings contentment to you or influences someone’s life positively and this is one example of it!
